Ask who will check the property while you are away, how storm preparation will be handled, and what the insurer and association require. Confirm rental, guest, vehicle and pet rules before relying on a particular plan.
If this will be your full-time home
Test the ordinary routes and stops that matter to you. Coordinate your current-home sale, financing, closing dates and any temporary housing before committing to the next address.
For either version: rebuild the budget
Get property-specific insurance quotes and check taxes after purchase, flood and elevation information, maintenance and every applicable community obligation. The seller’s bill and the listing’s fee field may not tell the whole story.
